The APALF Leadership and Candidate Training Bootcamp has served as the premier training program for Asian Pacific American political candidates since 2003. The APALF Bootcamp program has an unparalleled track record of success and has helped to launch the careers in public service for many of the APA community’s top political stars.
The Bootcamp is a two-weekend program that includes hands-on skills-building activities with top political consultants and dialogue with elected officials and political leaders.
Training topics include:
- Leadership development
- Media relations
- Coalition building
- Grassroots organizing
- Message development and delivery
Participants are selected based on community involvement, commitment to public service and their ability to seek and win public office. For applicants already serving in public office, the APALF Bootcamp will help prepare them for greater roles and potentially advance to higher elected or appointed office.
