The APALF Leadership and Candidate Training Bootcamp have served as the premier training program for Asian Pacific American political candidates since 2004. The APALF Bootcamp program has an unparalleled track record of success and has helped to launch the careers in public service for many of the APA community’s top political stars, including Attorney General Rob Bonta, Controller Betty T. Yee, Assemblymember Phil Ting, Assemblymember David Chiu, Assemblymember Evan Low, Assemblymember Phil Chen, and former LA City Councilmember David Ryu.
The Bootcamp is a two-weekend program, taking place in Northern and Southern California, that includes hands-on skills-building activities with top political consultants and dialogue with elected officials and political leaders.
Between April and May 2025, APALF will hold its Leadership and Candidate Training Bootcamp with 15 to 20 participants from across California. The Bootcamp will take place over 2 weekends, and attendance at both is mandatory.
